October 2017 - TU Delft case project

Summary

The aim is to create a healthy work environment for
both employees and students. Therefore an approach that fully optimizes natural daylight and ventilation is required. The challenge is to achieve this with limited, and if possible the absence of supporting installations. This will be done by studying and selecting from vernacular
low-tech solutions. In addition, the building has to be healthy for the environment too and will be realized completely autarkic. It generates its own energy. Therefore the building must have a minimal energy waste. For this reason, optimal daylight and ventilation are key, as they reduce the energy wasted on heating, cooling, and lighting.
