Core strengths lie in conceptual architectural design and the ability to rapidly generate design ideas, test them and visually represent them with excellent visualization skills. At the same time, my building engineering bachelor and minor entrepreneurship allow me to turn dreams into reality with solid technical and financial understanding.

My name is Marijn Luijmes (Luymes), an architect who obtained a master's degree in Architecture at TU Delft in June 2019. Currently working as architect on multiple projects at LEVS Architects in Amsterdam.

Past experience

During studies, I worked as a parttime Junior Designer, after a successful internship at Marc Koehler Architects. In this enjoyable period, I researched and designed form and plan on Dune House III to make the house blend in the dune landscape and to optimize its views. I contributed to the design of the competition-winning Edegem Library, developed the concept-design for Blok Y superlofts in plan and form, as well as assisted in designing the staircase for the completed Lofthouse I and working on details on Buiksloterham and Houthavens Superlofts during their execution phase.

During my bachelor, Céline Hendriks and I were awarded the 2nd place and honorable mention with our Panorama House proposal for the international student competition Healthy House Award, in which students were challenged to design a healthy house.

 Workflow

Able to work fast and efficient with design software I can easily pick up on new digital workflows. Current preferred software is ArchiCad and Adobe Suite. During my studies, this was SketchUp Pro, AutoCAD.
